Stand With Us: A Town-Wide Response to Violence Against Women & Children

This November, Kyogle businesses are invited to take part in a powerful, visible, and collective statement of support during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Register below to receive your Red Chair Resource Pack and be part of a united community response.

What is the 16 Days of Activism?

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign led by the United Nations, running each year from:

25 November – 10 December

  • 25 November: International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

  • 10 December: Human Rights Day

These 16 days mark a time for individuals, organisations, and communities around the world to take a stand against violence toward women and children, raise awareness, and promote meaningful action.

What is the Red Chair Campaign?

The Red Chair Campaign is a simple but powerful visual action.

A single red chair placed in a public space represents:

  • A life impacted by violence

  • A voice that is often unheard

  • A call for our community to acknowledge, support, and act

By placing a red chair outside your business, you are helping to create a
visible, town-wide statement that Kyogle stands against violence.

Why Get Involved?

Violence against women and children exists in every community — including our own.

By participating, your business will:

  • Show visible support for those affected

  • Help spark important community conversations

  • Contribute to a collective, town-wide display of solidarity

  • Be part of a coordinated local response aligned with national and global action

This is about standing together — as businesses, as neighbours, and as a community.
